It is funny how history repeats itself. About ten years ago when we took over Sudie's, I served as the General Manager at our Pasadena location. As we grew, I went on to fulfill other roles and hired Christina Lamb to run Sudie's Catfish House. Recently, Christina fell in love and moved to Seattle, Washington, putting me back in my old role for now. So, you will once again see more of me in Pasadena. Sudie's News. Happy Birthday, Paul! Many people retire and sit on their front porch when they turn 65, but we put Paul to work and gave him some additional duties at Sudie's. When Paul retired early from a chemical company, he complained about not having enough to do. So Jackie, his wife, convinced him to buy Sudie's in November 1999. He loves his job of operating Sudie's and works seven days a week. Paul Bailey was born September 24, 1944 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He is the middle child of three kids and both his sisters live in Shreveport, LA where he grew up. Paul and Jackie married in 1966 and are the parents of two sons, Brad and Clay. Be sure to stop by either Sudie's locations during the month of September and wish him a Happy 65th Birthday! Don't Forget! Summer Reader Reels in a Big One This summer, we held a reading contest for all CCISD students. The prize goes to second grader Makenzie. This summer, she read 20 books, and every book she read gave her another chance to win our drawing for the grand prize--an iPod! Congratulations, Makenzie, and thank you to all who participated!
