Sudie's "The Catch" eNewsletter | February 2009
On a cool winter evening, what could be better than a private dining room with a candle-lit table by the fire? This is what we are offering this month at Sudie's League City. We are calling it Romance Month and will make this service available for couples every night in February. This is our first time to offer Romance Month and we are excited to see the reception from you, our friends. So far, the newest addition to our restaurant has been greatly welcomed. We are offering Romance Month by reservation first and then on a first come, first serve basis.
Try catching us on a slow night during the first part of the week and maybe you will find yourself seated with your special someone alone by the fire while being served some of the best food in the Clear Lake area. It will be an evening to remember! Sincerely, The Bailey Family - Paul & Jackie, Brad & Julie, Clay & Heather, Katie, Brynn & Lauren [Photo: Romantic Table Setting]
What Guests Are Saying… “Friendly service; exceptional, cozy atmosphere.” – Randy “Very kid friendly.” – Diana & Cory “Banana pudding is awesome! Fried shrimp is great.” – April
Fishing for CA$H. Go fishing for cash at Sudie’s. During March, we’re putting coins in a fish bowl for you to guess how much cold, hard cash it contains. The person who guesses the correct amount, or closest to it, will win all the cash! To play, tell your hostess or server, fill out a Customer Rewards card and write your best guess on the back. Drop the card into the container at the checkout counter. At the end of March, we will draw a lucky winner at Pasadena and at League City. It’s that easy. If the Customer Reward card is not completely filled out, then it will get tossed back (thrown away, that is)! Only one guess is allowed per applicant. In the event of a tie, we will hold a drawing to determine the winner. So, stop by Sudie’s during March, and tell your friends you’ve gone fishing.
Houston’s 2009 rodeo is almost here. The last week of February, our rodeo team will head out to Reliant Park and construct our booth. Our big, mobile kitchen becomes the back wall of an old house that serves as our serving station. This is our eighth year to serve at the rodeo and you might think that it gets easier. Wrong! It takes a better part of the week to build the house and hook up plumbing, electrical and more to make everything run smoothly. In between set-up and break-down, we serve thousands of people who have made visiting Sudie’s a rodeo tradition. Many out-of-town customers really look forward to eating with us, and we always look forward to visiting and catching up with them too. If you’re at the rodeo this year, we hope you stop by, visit with us and enjoy our Southern food.
Sudie’s News. Lunch for Literacy. Sudie’s Seafood House was the first restaurant to participate in “Restaurants for Reading,” a new program through the Clear Creek Independent School District (CCISD) that invites local eateries to donate a portion of their profits for a day to the district. The proceeds benefit CCISD’s “Let’s Get Literate” program that raises funds to buy books for school libraries across the district.
